Tinnitus, also known as head noise, is the perception of sound when external sound is not present. It is a common condition that can cause anxiety, lack of concentration and loss of sleep. If your tinnitus is not medically treatable you might benefit from a tinnitus masker, a noise generator designed to mask or eliminate head noise.

Noise generators look like hearing aids, are worn in the ear, and Photo of Tranquil tinnitus masker in most cases are unseen when fit in the ear canal. The noise produced by these instruments is a soft, soothing sound similar to the sound from a shower head or gently falling rain.

This noise helps reduce the perception of the tinnitus. With the loudness of the tinnitus reduced, your tinnitus becomes less annoying and more manageable.

National Hearing Aid Centers offers a comprehensive line of tinnitus relief products which are available for those with normal hearing and those who are also in need of hearing help.
